Temple-bound Tyonna Wiliams is a quick, penetrating guard that gets past defenders with ease. Standing just five-foot-seven, Williams also possesses a solid jump shot that she can knock down as defenses shift and rotate. She’s the Crusader’s leader on the court and made the All-Tournament team at the Nike Tournament of Champions earlier this season.
At #11 in the ESPN RISE FAB50, Riverdale Baptist heads into the NHSI as the highest ranked girls’ team in the FAB50. The Crusaders played one of the toughest schedules in the country and ended the season 30-4, delivering wins over nationally ranked teams such as St. Johns (Washington, D.C.). With four Division I commits on their roster, Riverdale Baptist handed Potter’s House Christian (FL) their only loss on the year and won the OP Tip Off Tournament in December and the More Than Basketball tournament in January. In addition to the Temple-bound Williams, the Crusaders feature UMBC- bound senior Lauren Chase, Clemson-bound senior Deja Hawkins, and Georgetown- commit junior Diana Logan.
